Commercial casework refers to the built-in cabinet and storage systems specified for commercial, institutional, and government construction projects. Unlike residential cabinetry, commercial casework is built to meet formal quality standards (AWI Economy, Custom, or Premium), withstand heavy daily use, and conform to strict accessibility and safety requirements.
California Woodworking has been fabricating commercial casework since 1989. We're Woodwork Institute certified and have built casework for offices, healthcare facilities, schools, government buildings, maintenance facilities, and more across Ventura County and Southern California.
Every casework project we undertake starts with detailed shop drawings, is fabricated in our Oxnard shop using CNC technology, and is installed by our own OSHA 10 certified crews — no subcontracting the installation.

We build to Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) standards — Economy, Custom, or Premium grade as specified. Woodwork Institute certified since 1989.

Approximately 25% of our projects are prevailing wage jobs for government agencies, public schools, and publicly funded facilities. We are fully DIR registered with certified payroll capability and DAS 140 apprentice documentation — all handled in-house.
